Born and raised in Saskatchewan, siblings Cassie, Julenne, and Dion Florida grew up immersed in the province’s competitive dance community. Through years of training, performing, teaching, and creating, they developed a deep appreciation not only for technical excellence, but also for the power of dance as a form of artistic expression and connection.

Inspired by the incredible talent found throughout Saskatchewan, they created "Common Ground", a choreographer showcase that provides dancers and creators with a platform to share their passion, innovation, and original work beyond the traditional competition setting.

At its core, Common Ground celebrates both individuality and community. While every artist brings their own perspective, style, and story to the stage, the showcase highlights the shared passion for movement, creativity, and self-expression that connects us all. Choreographers are encouraged to take creative risks, explore new ideas, and present work that is authentic, thoughtful, and meaningful.

What sets Common Ground apart is its commitment to artistry over competition. There are no scores, rankings, or awards. Only an opportunity to create, perform, and be celebrated. By fostering an environment rooted in creative freedom, collaboration, and respect for diverse perspectives, the showcase strengthens Saskatchewan’s dance community while spotlighting the exceptional talent within it.
